Action on Elder Abuse (AEA) is a specialist charity organisation that operates across the United Kingdom. It also provides some support within Ireland. They focus exclusively on the issue of elder abuse. AEA was established in 1993 by practitioners from health and social care, academics and representatives of the voluntary sector. They address abuse within people's own homes (whether by family, friends or paid staff), within sheltered housing, and within care homes and hospitals.
A website operated by the National Council for Aging Care that offers guidance for senior citizens and their families living in the United States. This page offers specific guidance in respect to the individual rights of a senior and help to recognise the highly undereported crimes of elder abuse.
