The vast majority of us open the main entrance door to an unexpected caller without much thought about who is standing on the other side and on many occasions we probably wouldn’t have done so had we known who was a-calling! It’s important to see a caller before opening the door to them and sometimes it makes sense to open the door under control using a door chain or other device.
