It is an unfortunate fact that lots of people are not using their multipoint locking doors correctly. This is especially the case for those who have what is called a 'split spindle handle', which will mean that when the door is closed it will only be ‘locked’ on the single live latching bolt. This is easy to force at night, so make sure you engage all the locks and lock them off at night with the key.
