It’s good to see the principles of ‘Crime Prevention through Environmental Design’ (CPTED – Designing out Crime) still being applied in Miami Beach where Officer Julio Blanco runs through a few very simple measures for residents to take if they want to reduce their chances of burglary.
Amazingly you can even ring up your local police there and they’ll send round one of their crime prevention experts to advise you for free; a service once widely offered by the police in the UK.
