The Crime Prevention Website

National Personal Safety Day is organised by Suzy Lamplugh Trust, and is an annual event aimed at highlighting some of the simple, practical solutions that everyone can use to help avoid violence and aggression in today’s society. It’s about helping people live safer, more confident lives.

This year’s theme is “Keep It REAL”

This year, Suzy Lamplugh Trust is urging young men throughout the UK to ‘Keep It REAL’, by making themselves aware of the dangers and taking steps to ensure their own safety.

Young men are encouraged to be READY in case an incident occurs. EDUCATE yourselves about the dangers you could come into contact with. Be ALERT to danger – it may happen when you least expect it. Above all – stay LEGAL. Carrying a knife for self defence not only endangers yourself and others, but carries with it a sentence of up to 4 years in prison.

The website is packed full of resources and downloads and I would urge my followers to copy this message to others
