The Crime Prevention Website

After a fairly steady, but quieter period over the summer months (which is normal) the number of people now taking the home security survey started to pick up in September. Below is the list of the top 12 counties in which most surveys were conducted.

I get some great feedback about the survey, which will all go into the pot when I carry out my first review of it during 2016 (always looking ahead).

This quarter was particularly marked by Lancashire Constabulary’s promotion of the survey during their recent anti-burglary campaign. Messages went out in their local press, burglary prone areas were visited and plenty of crime prevention advice was delivered. If you were one of the many people who carried out a survey in Lancashire and then used the results to improve your security I would love to hear from you.

Here’s that list with Lancashire at the top with most surveys completed. If the county is followed by the word ‘Linked’ then that indicates that the county’s police service’s website is reciprocally linked with The Crime Prevention Website.

  • Lancashire (Linked)
  • Essex (Linked)
  • London (Linked)
  • West Midlands (Recently linked)
  • South Yorkshire (Linked)
  • Hampshire (Linked)
  • Kent
  • Berkshire (Linked)
  • Cambridgeshire (Partially linked)
  • Surrey
  • Buckinghamshire (Linked)
  • Norfolk

It’s obviously a shame that some of the police forces in the list above aren’t linked, but it’s good to know that TCPW is still being found by their residents.

Don’t forget, the survey is free, anonymous, takes 15 minutes and results in a tailor-made report and risk assessment score. You can download the report onto your own computer if you want and your email address is only used once by us for that specific purpose and nothing else.

Give it a go – you know it makes sense! http://thecrimepreventionwebsite.com/home-security-assessment/468/home-security-survey--diy/
