The Crime Prevention Website

Nice piece on EDP24 today describing some of the work carried out by the charity Norfolk Pact (Partners Against Crime Taskforce)

The Norfolk PACT is an independent charity that’s been working in the field of community safety and crime prevention since 1997. They’re dedicated to protecting vulnerable people, preventing repeat victimisation, helping to reduce crime, providing reassurance and encouraging good citizenship – particularly among young people.

Their staff members are vetted by the police with whom they have a close working relationship.

They can supply and fit different types of security hardware such as, five lever mortice locks, five lever deadlocks, Yale locks, security bolts, window locks, door viewers, kick panels, door chains, lockable door chains, patio door bolts, euro cylinders and door mirrors and from reading the article it seems that they’ll fit external letter boxes and tank alarms too.

I used to work with a similar charity called ‘Beesafe’ in Ealing back when I was in crime prevention there so I know just how welcomed these people are when someone vulnerable has been a victim of crime or fears crime so much that it’s making them ill. Sometimes we forget that the fear of crime can be just as debilitating as being a victim.

To see if you qualify please call them on 01953 424727 or email them at norfolkpact@norfolk.pnn.police.uk

And if you would like to make a donation towards their work I’m sure they would love to hear from you!
